My name is Troy. This is my webpage.

My name is not Luca. I do not live on the second floor.

This is where I'm gonna stick all my ramblings and stuff. So please, look around. Tell me if you like what you see.

Future reference; I am a lazy bastard. Ergo, I will probably forsake fancy dhtml/java ballet for gritty, earthy (read simple) html square dancing.

Now onto the actual content...

Here is my PERSONAL page where I tell a little about myself as well as drop my rants. Ah, let it ring through your head - 'rant.' That magical word made vogue by Dennis Miller, a once 800 lb. gorilla now 100 yd. war vocalizer. Well, at least he's making the bucks. I like to rave and rant. Rave in the old-fashioned form of the word. It's a good way to vent rancor without actually having to yell at the target of the rancor. Putting them here in an open forum, in front of a possibly world-wide audience, I can pretend that someone out there is actually seeing what I have produced.

Probably not, though; I imagine most of you are going to skip this and jump to whatever section actually brought you here in the first place.

ALTERNITY is an RPG formerly supported by Wizards of the Coast, who acquired the title from TSR with everything else when WOC bought them out. WOC is now in trouble with the guys who own them, Hasbro, for bad holiday sales. Hasbro points to warehouses filled with unbought Pokemon cards as the reason. Serves 'em right for chasing a fad. Anyway, Alternity has been shunned by its parents like an Amish with a blowdryer, which means it needs to be adopted by its fans.

OTHER RPG's is where I stick all of the rest of the RPG notions that I have. Things like how Palladium needs to change to D20, 'cause that is the only way they could possibly fix its broken system.

SCI-FI is my haven for all things futurian and fantastic. I really like science fiction. All of it. From "Doc" Smith's analog-controlled super ships of space (wheels and levers, whoo hoo!) to Heinlein's political rants disguised and dressed up in gorilla-like suits of power armor, I love it all. Hell, even Doogie-Nazi in Space was good for a laugh.

FANTASY is my page of epic-type fancy. I like fantasy. For a moment, I can step out of my own petty human drives and motivations and look out from the eyes of character whose motivations are driven only by the greater good. Or, I can read story with a dark hero. Someone whose motivations aren't perfect and white, but whose ends are beautiful and resolutions complete. Real life so seldom grants closures of such purity that I am driven to find some place, even if it's fiction, where everything resolves itself.

LINKS is a self-explanatory place. Go there to go someplace else where there is cool stuff.
