2002 PNHS Show At The Seattle Aquarium

These were taken at our show on the second floor of the Seattle Aquarium in July 2002. On the left side of the entryway, you can see Houdini's stock tank. The Aquarium show is the smaller of the two, and this year it was underadvertised.

Here Sharon holds a young monitor for an attendee to see.

Marty talks to an attendee about his snakes. He and Ann always bring an assortment of corns, kings, rats, and others.

A child pets a tortoise in an enclosure. Our table was about 20 feet away, and it was funny to watch the tortoise try to climb out. He could just barely get his head and a foot over the edge....

On the waterfront below, members displayed some of the more impressive animals to attract interest. Luke is holding one of his argus monitors.

Sasquatch brought Wheezer (not sure how he spells it) and a folding chair. Smart man. Wheezer is an albino burmese python.

Wheezer attracted most of the crowd, although there were other herps out, too.

Dale brought a rescued sulcata, as well as a Columbian B&W tegu so tame his young son carried it around to be petted.

It was a good day to walk the waterfront in Seattle. We had a prime spot to snag passers-by next to an ice cream shop. Sunday wasn't as nice, though, with a record rainfall.

Two reticulated pythons were brought out to catch attention. This one is a full-grown dwarf. The children loved him!

Isn't that a gorgeous snake?

The young and the old loved the reptiles.

We had herps to handle inside, too. Here Elizabeth shows some children a gecko.

On the other end of the spectrum, Mark had a burmese python to touch.

Here's a pic of the argus going for a walk. He didn't want to sit still at all during the show.

A cute bearded dragon. I am king of this table!

Two carpet pythons find it's comfy to coil together.

This is not the way to carry an ig if you have thin skin. Dave wore two shirts and sweated like mad in the room full of heat lamps.

The ig sure was comfy, though!

Elizabeth's northern velvet gecko. Very pretty!

This yellow ackie kept tearing his tank apart digging. Nervous little monitor.
